Translational hematology: Towards chemo free therapy in hematologic malignancies is a satellite symposium focused on the latest developments in targeted treatment strategies for a range of blood cancers. The program will showcase how advances in molecular genetics, cell signaling, immune modulation, and disease biology are translating into durable, chemo free therapeutic options. 

The ISEH meeting setting offers a high value forum with a scientifically rigorous audience shaping the future of hematology. Structured around disease focused segments—lymphoid malignancies; acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS); and myeloproliferative neoplasms—the symposium will feature recognized thought leaders discussing clinical outcomes, resistance mechanisms, and rational combination strategies.

Trainee Workshop

New Investigators Workshop

Thursday, 27 August, 10:00 - 16:30 CEST | $90 USD

This pre-meeting workshop, offered exclusively for students (graduate, PhD, MD, etc.) and post-doctoral fellows, is a unique opportunity to present your current research to your peers and experienced ISEH faculty (posters and selected talks) and has ample opportunity to network with your peers and faculty who will become your future colleagues. 

All PhD students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to attend and participate in the pre-meeting workshop. Participants are invited to present a poster to receive feedback from the poster judges. In addition, up to six short talks will be selected from participant abstracts submitted to the main meeting. Check out the schedule below!

Prizes will be awarded for the top short talk and posters:

  • Best two short talks: $125 USD
  • Top three posters: $100 USD each

The top short talk from the workshop will be invited to give a presentation during the main meeting program. 

Be sure to select this workshop when registering for the conference to secure your spot, or add it to your existing registration. Space is limited, and last‑minute sign‑ups will not be possible.

iPSC Symposium

2026 symposium on “Human pluripotent stem cell-derived hematopoiesis”

This is an event planned by another organizer and is not an official ISEH event.

This is a one-day symposium of invited speaker talks and short talks selected from abstracts. The aim of this symposium is to bring together researchers working in the fields of blood development, hPSC modeling of blood diseases and generation of hPSC-blood products for cell replacement therapies and immunotherapies. Topics will include recent advances in characterizing the ontogeny of the hematopoietic system, in generating disease models of non-malignant and malignant blood diseases and in developing cell and gene therapies using hPSC-derived cells.
