Hematopoietic Stem Cell Aging: Heterogeneity and Plasticity
View recording. Webinar recordings are available exclusively to ISEH members.
Ageing is accompanied by profound changes in tissue homeostasis, regeneration, and immune function, many of which originate at the level of stem and progenitor cells. In recent years, major advances have revealed how ageing alters stem cell fitness, lineage bias, metabolic state, transcriptional programs, and interactions with the niche. These insights have reshaped our understanding of age associated disorders, including hematological malignancies, immune dysfunction, frailty, and chronic inflammatory disease.
In this ISEH New Investigator Committee Webinar moderated by Maria Jassinskaja, we bring together leading scientists whose work has defined and transformed the modern field of stem cell ageing. Our invited speakers are Professor Atsushi Iwama (The Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo, Japan) and Professor M.Carolina Florian (ICREA / IDIBELL, Spain), both internationally recognized for their contributions to understanding how ageing impacts stem cell biology.
Join us as these international experts share perspectives from their research programs and discuss emerging concepts in stem cell ageing. This webinar offers a unique opportunity for researchers at all career stages to gain insight into cutting edge discoveries and to engage with pioneers shaping the future of ageing research.
