The ISEH community is deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Paul Frenette, a revered member of the ISEH community and ISEH Past President. His colleagues and friends discussed his remarkable career and scientific accomplishments in a recent post on the ISEH blog Simply Blood.
The “Paul S. Frenette Fund” has been designed as a fund, whose annual interest/proceeds will be applied to cover the costs of a named “Paul S. Frenette Lecture” added annually to the ISEH meeting program, as well as towards travel grants in honor of Paul. Travel grants and speakers are selected thematically, such as contributions submitted related to niche biology or sickle cell disease, or pioneering and visionary research in general that may be ahead of its time.
