Travel Grant Opportunities

ISEH aims to support graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral fellows with travel grants that can defray some costs for attendance at the ISEH Annual Scientific Meeting. Travel grants are awarded to eligible ISEH members, based on their scientific abstract review score as judged by a panel of scientific reviewers. Top scoring abstracts will be selected for a travel grant until all available funds are utilized.

Payment of the travel grants will be processed after the meeting, contingent on the grantee having attended the Scientific Meeting and presented during an Oral Presentation or a Poster Session.

The travel grant application is only open during the first call for abstracts and is not available to late-breaking abstract submitters.

Here are some fantastic travel grant opportunities available for 2026.

Criteria and requirements for the ISEH travel grant:

  • Be a current associate member of ISEH
  • Be either a student or post-doctoral fellow
  • Complete the travel grant application with your abstract.

Technology and Innovation Travel Grants

This travel grant is given in honor of the late Ihor Lemischka, and will be given out for the ISEH 55th Annual Scientific Meeting. Technology and Innovation Travel Awards are considered on the basis of scientific merit and relevance to technology and innovation. Three of the submitted technology applications will be selected to present in the New Investigators Technology Session.

Criteria and requirements for the Technology and Innovation Travel Grant:

  • Be a current associate member of ISEH
  • Be either a student or post-doctoral fellow

    • Elucidates mechanisms of myeloid malignancy initiation and evolution, including premalignant states, with relevance to RUNX1 alterations
    • Studies focused on RUNX1 mutations are strongly encouraged; research involving other germline predisposition syndromes or biologically related pathways relevant to myeloid malignancy development may also be considered

Developing Country Travel Grants

ISEH has established a Developing Country Travel Grant to promote accessibility of the ISEH meeting and community. Travel grant applicants must submit an abstract to the ISEH meeting and work in one of the eligible countries, defined by ISEH as those in the World Bank tiers of low-income and lower-middle income. Abstracts will be reviewed and scored on scientific merit, with the top scoring abstract(s) being prioritized. Funding is limited.
